She also wrote two #1 hits for Kylie Minogue, been the vocal backing behind Paul Oakenfold's work, and toured with peeps such as Sting, Moby, and Dido (remember "Thank You", or Eminem's sample of it in "Stan"?).

Pat came over yesterday to take some pics for the cover art of his upcoming "Frenzy" mix (dropping mad soon, keep your ears peeled), but we just ended up spending most of the time watching the Comedy Network and throwing tracks back and forth.

His latest edit (made alongside good friend DJ NDN) is a dancefloor heater of the all too familiar Bizzare Inc. classic "I'm Gonna Get You Baby". The original is one he plays out often, but slow bpm and lack of powerful drums hindered it's speaker exposure after 11-11:30pm. Now, infused with some piano fun and a powerful b-more backbeat, the joint is skewed to fit sweaty peak-time dancefloors.

Obie Trice will not be performing alongside Royce Da 5'9 and D12 at our Nov.13th scheduled concert. Seems Obie has recently run into some problems with the law, and thus no longer allowed into our country.

In replacement of Obie... JOE BUDDEN and Canada's own, Classified! Shit is gonna go off like crazy.

So not too long ago, DJ Rob 3 (or Rob Threezy as of late) came out with that insane choppy horn-infused banger titled "The Chase". I never posted the track 'cause I had a feeling he was fishing a label for proper release - and really, that joint should be bought. The song did get snatched up (surprise surprise), and is due for release on the Brick Bandits EP (alongside DJ Sega, DJ Tameil, DJ Tim Dolla, DJ B-Stee, and Mike V) under Ol' Head Records (also the home of our next party's guest djs).

Rob's newest release is a juiced up DJ Mujava edit (which just so happens to be the track I've been raving about all summer). How perfect.

Smashing Pumpkins x Le Castle Vania

Raph & Aaron (D.R. One & Grandtheft of Team Canada) were in town for a party last night. Hadn't seen them since their Redbull party back 1st week of August so I rolled through to say what's up. Just as last time, the venue was one of no history in terms of any hipster/electro/baltimore music... so half the crowd (other half being Team Canada's regular fans that came through) was pleasantly surprised. Kinda like how "the gunshot song" was unfamiliar to most over a year ago, but now you get 63 "Paper Planes" requests a night. Anyways, as much fun as it was to watch martini dress wearing chicks stumble over their own heels to a David Guetta b-more edit, that's not what this post is about.

Music still going and about 20 minutes after the club should have been closed, Frame (who opened the night) readied Neoteric's Nirvana vs. Stardust joint, to which Aaron cued and dropped some next level rock banger. The song turned the place into a scary version of a Justice concert, with so much jumping that I was unable to trainspot and see what the remix was.
