3 tracks that have been getting plenty 'o speaker time in the past few days...
I forgot I had this nice track - 'til about an hour ago, when it interrupted my tv screen windex-ing.
London grown, currently NYC situated, Estelle's Kanye supported "American Boy" has been killin' her birth country's charts... recently becoming both the #1 single in the UK, and the top downloaded on iTunes over thurrr.

My fave 2 edits of the track...
TS7's version:
Estelle - American Boy (TS7 remix) (zShare)
Italo-funk duo Scuola Furano's version:
Estelle - American Boy (Scuola Furano Fireworks Tears remix) (zShare)
Danger did a remix too, here.
I'm sure we'll be hearing a lot more from Estelle soon - she just became the first artist to release under John Legend's very own (and Atlantic Records affiliated) Homeschool label.
After a whole lotta' this...
... Szeto and I hit Chromeo with the interview.
(Flash/Mozilla for best viewage)
The actual video will be up somewhere, sometime. Probz youtube, semi soonish.
Had Chromeo up here a few days ago and, as expected, shit was crazy. From Drastik's opening set to the Montreal duo's 3 (crowd-driven) stage returns... nothing but great vibes. Met up with Jake (of Kill The Noise) too, after a solid half hour of mutually frantic "where r u now?" text message tag. Homie made the trip up form NYC with a few friends to see the gig. Mad nice cat - crazy talented too (keep an ear out for him).

This is what happens when you fuse Dutch beatmakers & British lyricists with Japanese poppers.

I've always been a fan of this little conception . It's an ongoing community art project called PostSecret, where people mail in their secrets anonymously on one side of a homemade postcard.
UK's Graeme Sinden and Joshua Count of Monte Cristal Harvey (aka Herve, Voodoo Chilli, Speaker Junk, Action Man, Dead Soul Brothers, and Young Lovers) have finally made a joint myspace page.
The only thing more impressive than Count's alter ego list is the duo's unremitting flawless production, on both individual and collaborative levels. Keep an eye out for their upcoming album under Domino Records.
'Till then, a few of my faves from the boys:
Pharoahe Monch - Body Baby (Sinden & Count remix) (zShare)
Mark Ronson ft. Amy Winehouse - Valerie (Sinden & Count remix) (zShare)
Santogold - You'll Find A Way (Switch & Sinden remix) (zShare)
Sinden & Count of Monte Cristal - Beeper ft. Kid Sister (Fake Blood remix) (zShare)
* If your ears say "more pleez" then check theez, same steez: Switch, Duke Dumont, Jesse Rose.
We've all seen the Macbook Air commercial. Yeah it's light, thin, pretty 'n shit, but it has less memory than a shuffle and buttons that look just like the fake keyboards at Ikea. I have beef with it. Yael Naim's track in the ad, however, is a different story.
Here's her full version:
When not boosting Mac sales, she can be found putting sweet eerie twists on Britney Spears.
Yael Naim - Toxic (zShare)
That Toxic track reminded me of a female vocal edit of Timberlake's 'My Love', but I just couldn't remember who had made it. Drove me craaaaaaaazy (googling "girl my love remix myspace" didn't help either). I went on a frantic mission until I re-discovered Marit Bergman... to find out making covers was nuttin' but her "hobby".

This blog is going to be...
- HEAVY on the music tip.
- The home to many sweat-infested dance party pics. Same goes with youtube videos.
- A collection bank of all things slightly uncomfortable yet still satisfying (like denim-on-denim dry humping).
I, on the other hand...
- Come from an Eastern European town so small it has its own myspace account. I shit you not, I just got the friend request, peep it here.
- Have fingers that are categorized as slightly larger than "medium". Props to the below pictured "Phone Fingers" company for this great bodily discovery.
Check their chart to see if you have fat fingers.
