RedBull 3Style tonight!

My baaad on sucking with actual music updates. I have this Sunday off though (and will make sure to post plenty).

But hey, later today/tonight is the Ottawa stop for RedBull's 3Style competition. Eight local djs fight for the "most versatile" $1000 prize, with only 15 minutes (and mandatory touching of 3 different music genres) of showcase time each. The local crown will then (in March) face the winners from every other city for the national title and $3000 bag-o-money. Our judging will be handled by Stylusts djs Drastik & Illo, DJ Huggs (of Dim Mak, Los Angeles), and the Jokers of the Scene duo. Once the winner is announced, the dancefloor becomes property of the JOTS & Stylusts.

Only found out yesterday that I am to host the party, so as a last second "come on out" shout, you can gain FREE guestlist entry to the otherwise $10/15 showcase by emailing full names to straight-goods@hotmail.com. Must email by 5pm today, must include full names (no 'Mike +4'), and must be at venue before 11pm list expiry time. Must get drunk too. Must.

Baggy Bottom Boys (Ayres & Harry video)

About a month ago, we had Boston's Red Foxx come up to film the 2nd half of the Baggy Bottom Boys music video. Until the footage from that night is edited and morphed into the official video... sit back and enjoy the Ayres & Harry version. Same song, but Hanks steez.

TONIGHT: Dana D & DJ Illo

Kinda last minute post but, hey, our monthly Disorganised party is tonight. This month's edition is with Vancouver's Dana D & our city's dj of the year, Illoooooooooo (minus 4 o's).

I think I'm gonna take the boys for Pho (real) and then get them so drunk that they won't even know how to soundcheck. That's the plan.

Come drink/dance/not request Katy Perry/pay our bartabs.
