Really really long track names
Songs with really really long titles remixed by dj duos = good sound, apparently.
Lucas & Nathaniel (Zombie Disco Squad) killin' it (surprise surprise):
The Ghost Frequency - Never Before Have I Seen A Man Alive That Looked So Exactly Like A Skeleton (Zombie Disco Squad Remix) (zShare)
João & Luciano (The Twelves) on point, as always:
The Black Kids - I'm Not Gonna Teach Your Boyfriend How To Dance With You (The Twelves Remix) (zShare)

Harlem dance party
These pics threw me back to this one time I walked into a similar function. I was grade 10, slightly over 5 feet short, Gap polo and all. I fit in. The spot (which I think they called "Momentum") was in a back warehouse, connected to a Subway and a Colour Your World paint store. The dark inside was just a massive crowd creating a small circle, where only the ballsy would challenge each other by flaunting their rhythm. Just a big room with good music - and sh*t got damn crazy.

Spin(styles) that Lollipop
Art by Chintan Upadhyay
This is the uptempo edit of Weezy's stretch transport truck limo worthy track (say that 5 times) I mentioned in my previous post. Courtesy of DJ Spinstyles.

Happy 14th, Filip
Birthday boy throwback pic! The then little brother is growin' up mad fast, kid is almost my height. Everyone says he's a mini-me, from sports and music obsessions to jokes and mannerisms. I remember being that age - requesting Mr.Vegas' "Heads High" at every school dance and hittin' the gym floor with moves crazy enough to, if ever youtube'd, make Shakira and Chris Brown rethink their lives.
Fil is on the same tip, just less foot trickery and more hand skill. I went home last weekend and near broke my neck bobbing as he sat at his piano dropping heavy bass notes while an uptempo "Lollipop" blasted from the computer behind him. So legit that he'll be spending some quality after homework time with Pat and me, tweaking his keys into dancefloor mayhem. 2011, watch out!

Lovin' Lidell
I was pleasantly surprised to find out UK's Jamie Lidell was coming through town. His material is such a fresh switch-up from my usual 120bpm driven days/nights. It's weekend morning music. It's walk from work music. It's pure smile inducing soulful Motown music, you know?
