Finally uploaded my pictures from our Method Man & Redman concert last Saturday. No press passes were issued, so all pro big camera peeps were turned away from the stage. All I had to work with was my tiny palm-sized Canon PowerShot - but here are the snaps:

A Lidell Friday

Couldn't miss the Jamie Lidell concert. For those who did not attend or aren't familiar with his great sound, check my previous post for songs & videos.

Babylon was nicely rammed.

The guy on sax was the only appropriately dressed for the sweat-box (really though, check his back and the drummer's leg).

Missed the afterparty 'cause I had to run to another venue to judge an annual hair stylist & fashion competition. It's an Ottawa Fashion Week contest where we (3 other judges and I) "discover" the city's top stylists and designers through weekly single elimination rounds. The winner gets one of those fancy industry deals with a big name company + a trip to Vegas.

The Great Glebe Garage Sale

Brown Town Rio and I hit up Ottawa's notorious annual garage sale earlier today.

Perfect weather, good food, beyond busy.

Found this at the first corner we hit. Pot growing lamps (cutting board included?). Same guy was selling "Vote For Obama" stickers.

Our favourite. Flipped down visor, on a serious mission. We called her RoboShop.

Everything was up for grabs.

This cat at the corner was selling "Arguments - all kinds". Subject list included metaphysical disputations, ethical quandaries, and lovers' quarrels.

Caught Curious George slacking off.

Live music.

Watched these 2 homeless guys put their loot together, purchase wheelchairs, put them to use immediately, and panhandle their money back.

Whoa.
